Wolfgang Müller-Felber studied medicine in Munich 1977 – 1983, received his MD degree 1984 and, after further training in neurology and psychiatry.
1984 – 1991 at the University Munich, is approved medical specialist in these fields. He received postdoctoral lecture qualification 1995. Since 2000 he is head of the muscle centre southern Bavaria, from 2001 with the title as apl. Professor for Neurology. In 2005 he gained his recognition as paediatrician, since 2008 with focus on „ Neuropediatric“. Since 2007 he is head of the centre for neuromuscular disorders in children at the Dr. -v.-Haunersche Children‘s Hospital of the University of Munich. Wolfgang Müller-Felber‘s research interests are in clinic and natural history of childhood neuromuscular disorders such as Pompe disease, mitochondrial myopathies, congenital myopathies, childhood neuropathies, spinal muscle atrophy, Duchenne. Since 2016 he is one of the conductors of the INCEPTUS study, a natural history study on myotubular myopathy, sponsored by the Company Audentes Therapeutics.
At the conference #TogetherEvenStronger Dr. Müller-Felber gave a talk on “What do we know about secondary non-muscle connected with myotubular myopathy and other CNM?”
